Unboxed: Epson Artisan 800 All-In-One
Nothing fancy, just what you can expect when purchasing an Epson Artisan 800 inkjet printer. Don’t get robbed at a local store, Epson has them online for $129. Also, do not be fooled into thinking the Artisan 810 ($250.00) is a better/more up-to-date printer. The Epson Artisan 800 is the exact same printer, minus the included auto duplexer (with Artisan 810). You can purchase a duplexer for your Artisan 700/800 for $30-$40.
Opening the box:
Really nice packaging:
Feels like an Apple product.
Included materials:
Six cartridges, plus an extra black (you will need it almost immediately due to head charging). Also includes an Ethernet cable, phone cord (fax), and standard power cord (nice). Not pictured is the driver CD, and a free – single printable CDR.
Nice handle man…
Has that “new printer smell”:
Lot’s of blue tape:
Charging the print head will take about 5 minutes. If you are not using a continuous inking system with this printer, you are nuts. T098/T099 cartridges included/used by this printer contain 7ml-11ml of ink. About 200 pages, and there are six cartridges.
